Derrick graduated from the Faculty of Law of Brawijaya University, majoring in Criminal Law. He graduated with a cum laude. During his study, he joined some student organizations and was part of Paralegal of the Legal Aid and Consultation Bureau of Brawijaya University (BKBH FH-UB) where he assisted in numerous litigation and non-litigation pro bono cases.
Derrick joined ASP in late 2021, he has been actively involved in diverse cases of litigation, criminal cases, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and suspension of payment cases.
